Dear perusers of this blog,
We are just couple of hours from 2011! I’m almost certain that 2011 will be an energizing year for (haute) horlogerie. In 2010, we’ve seen a great deal of new watches that were truly awesome, like The Palace by Jean Dunand , the and Max Busser’s HM No.4 . Other than these, we’ve seen re-manifestations of exemplary watches, for example, the Rolex Explorer in 39mm, the Bulova Accutron Spaceview and the Glycine Airman Base 22 . What’s more, everything in the middle obviously. My companion Frank Geelen of did a pleasant review on and I wholeheartedly concur with his decision of timepieces.
So, what will 2011 bring us? We’ve seen some incredible sneak peaks for the SIHH2011 effectively, similar to the by Jaeger-LeCoultre for instance. Actually, I can’t stand by to see a portion of the new horological guarantees by Audemars Piguet, Rolex, , Linde Werdelin’s new chronograph thus on.
What about Fratellowatches in 2011? Well, I will keep on writing for a blog about watches and will do my best attempting to expand the quantity of articles. You can – again – expect inside and out inclusion on oddities, BaselWorld, SIHH, GTE and other watch occasions. All the more significantly, I will continue to voice my assessment on watches, the watch business and what more. Remember that this is my own blog and thusly consistently mirrors my closely-held conviction on watches, brands, watch books, occasions etc.
Besides Fratellowatches and my , I am at present working for various other media (for example , and others) however much I can, which I will likewise keep on doing in 2011 of course.
For now, I might want to thank all watch companions (old and new ones), perusers (and the number is as yet developing each year) for your time and comments, my publicists and supporters for an extraordinary horological 2010 and love to see you back in 2011!
Just like last year’s end-of-year post, let me end this post with a photograph of my most recent obtaining, my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph ref.26300ST. A major thank you to Jaap of , who has been patron of Fratellowatches for quite a long time now.
