Earlier this late spring, HODINKEE turned five years of age. Difficult to accept, we know. Furthermore, us being us, we wanted to thank you just for making this who we are. Thus, we had the awesome folks at Ochs & Junior make us two incredibly uncommon watches ( watch this video for a superior thought of why they’re so cool ). They are extraordinary on the grounds that, well, we planned them, and they highlight a few qualities you for all intents and purposes never see on any watch, and a couple of you will never see again on any Ochs & Junior watch.
This watch is a unique interpretation of Ochs & Junior’s Moonphase, the world’s most precise moonphase (great to one day over 3478.27 years, using just 5 components). Ochs & Junior has set an uncommon pounded silver moon to the dial which is totally unique to HODINKEE and will never be offered again. The actual dial is dull patinated metal and the sun at 12 o’clock just as the date marker are uncovered metal from below the dial. You’ll see there is no seconds hand, as the accentuation here is on the drawn out pattern of the moon. The 39mm case is additionally made of silver, so it will age and acquire character over the long haul, and the back is engraved “Five Years Of HODINKEE 2008-2013 No. 1/2”.
This watch will be offered away to one of our perusers who have taken our commemoration study. No. 2 will go to me. In this way, again, there will be just two of these real silver cased, silver moon watches at any point made, and we’re parting with one to you – an estimation of 9,200 CHF for nothing. Not terrible, correct? We’re simply that sort of folks.
